Cheeky green fountain for St. Patrick's Day
Still got this thing with libraries: The library of Congress is one of my favourite ones!
Right before I went down the stairs to take this picture
I was sitting on a bench where an American joined me
and we started talking. It turned out he lived in
Germany for years to teach English as a
Second Language and he just continued doing so
in Saudia Arabia, however, he was waiting
for his new working permit to be extended.
So we ended up talking about the Middle East and
how there is a really wrong perception in Western
countries about the people, the countries and
the culture there.
Not really hard to figure out which embassy's parking lot that is!
The Clintons actually just live right across the Danish Embassy,
so the Deputy Ambassador of Denmark told us to pass by! #hillaryfangirlmoment
What is better than bacon or pancakes for breakfast? Bacon AND pancakes for breakfast!
I really struggled with this whole plate though.

Pizza slices - all day every day!
New York City
We were recommended to take the Staten Island Ferry (free of charge) for a
good view of the Statue of Liberty rather than going to the super-crowded
Liberty Island.

We stopped by at the Bernie Sander's office in Brooklyn where we got
some information about the election campaign and
also how the voter's registration works in the US.

As a German it seems quite weird that people have to register to vote
and cannot simply vote on election day.
and cannot simply vote on election day.
(In Germany every person who is eligible to vote automatically receives
a voting card stating the polling station you are supposed to vote at
on election day. Eventually you can just go there with your ID
card only and vote - you do not even have to show your
voting card in the polling station since your name is on a list.)

It definitely will! - Anni
And another library: The New York Public Library
Unfortunately, the main reading hall was closed and is supposed to be stunning.
My favourite thing about travelling is catching up with friends, so I was really happy to meet Rexin.
Rexin and I studied together last semester since she added an Erasmus semester
at CBS after her Masters and is right now interning in New York.

Best salad I had in my life at Bluestone Lane Café
Everyone trying to get their Gossip Girl-ish photo
What I love more than art pieces in an art museum is actually seeing how people experience the art.
Kinda got a Britney vibe from the girl on the left!
As the hipsters we are, we had to try burgers at Shake Shack - had better ones, had worse ones!
Having a MUN session in the real UN was one of the coolest things in my life!
This Serena moment!
